Event Development

The GENYOUth 2015 Pennsylvania Youth-Empowerment Town Hall

SOS Sports developed, in cooperation with the GENYOUth Foundation and Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association, a Town Hall to convene and engage thought leaders in business, government, health and education to foster productive dialogue, spread the youth empowerment message, advance the mission of Fuel Up to Play 60 with a special focus on school breakfast, and the urgent need to raise participation numbers in Pennsylvania.  SOS Sports assembled a core organizing team that provided input on the Town Hall outcomes, format, venue, agenda, panelists, and invited guests.  The Town Hall, with 130 attendees, was an informative, productive, action-oriented day that engaged and inspired new public-private partnerships in an effort in accomplishing our goals.

SOS Sports developed a corporate partnership with the Independence Blue Cross Foundation to empower children at participating Healthy Futures schools to become leaders for Fuel Up to Play 60. As part of the initiative, a Leadership Workshop was held for 6 schools, 30 students and 6 adults at the IBC Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA to introduce the program and teach them how to lead sustainable healthy changes in their school environment.
